Congratulations on her 96th birthday were presented to the Great Patriotic War veteran and home-front worker Galina Dmitrievna Biktagirova. Deputy Head of the Central District Administration Elmira Gilmetdinova and Chairman of the TOS «17 kompleks» Vladimir Rtishchev congratulated her on the anniversary, conveying words of appreciation from Russian President Vladimir Putin and the city Mayor Nail Magdeev.
Galina Dmitrievna was born in the village of Grivtsevo, Pskov Oblast. During the Great Patriotic War she worked on her native collective farm. After the war Galina Dmitrievna graduated from a technical college in the city of Cheboksary and took a job at a cotton mill, where she worked for more than 20 years.
In 1951 she moved to the city of Naberezhnye Chelny as her permanent place of residence and worked at the City Gas Service until her retirement.
Galina Dmitrievna raised three children and has three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The veteran is awarded the medal «For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945», and medals for anniversary dates.
