Naberezhnye Chelny (Tatar: Yar Chally; named Brezhnev from 1982 to 1988) is a city in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, located on the left bank of the Kama River. The river banks are connected by a dam carrying road and railway routes.

General Information
Naberezhnye Chelny is a city of republican significance, the main city of the Naberezhnye Chelny agglomeration and a major industrial centre of the Lower Kama region. It is the second-largest city in Tatarstan by population.
The city is located in the north-east of Tatarstan on the left bank of the Kama River, now part of the Nizhnekamsk Reservoir. It is an important transport hub with railways, a river port, highways and Begishevo Airport nearby.

City Districts
The Executive Committee includes the territorial administrations of the Avtozavodsky, Central and Komsomolsky districts.
The Komsomolsky district includes the settlements and neighbourhoods of GES, ZYAB, Sidorovka, Orlovka, Elevatornaya Gora, Zamelekesye, Surovka, BSI and Energorayon.
The Central and Avtozavodsky districts include the main residential complexes and urban areas on both sides of the city’s main roads.
