There were heated debates about housing development at public hearings. There were two key questions: where do we need so many apartments and where will we plant houses? Judging by the "general" document, the intentions of Naberezhnye Chelny are as follows: by 2043, every citizen should have at least 32 square meters of housing. The total area of the housing stock will then be 18 million "squares". Currently, housing in Naberezhnye Chelny occupies 14.4 million square meters. It is necessary to "grow up" 4 million square meters. At the expense of which territories? Since the previous "attempt" by the authors of the new general plan on GSK was unsuccessful, it was decided not to touch the garages for now. There are no official agreements to develop towards the Tukayevsky district, Yelabuga. And such proposals were made.Therefore, housing will be built within the modern boundaries of the city, the authors of the project say.
