Acting Head of the Russian Interior Ministry for Naberezhnye Chelny, Police Colonel Igor Ovsov, noted at the "business Monday" meeting that the "Resort" action plan has been implemented in Naberezhnye Chelny during the summer period to ensure public order in places of mass recreation. It will run until October 5.
Every day from 16:00 to 22:00, police officers and municipal employees are deployed to ensure public order on the F. Tabeev and G. Tukay embankments. Additional posts and patrol routes are also provided, with police crews visiting at least once every 3 hours.
All places of mass gathering are equipped with the "Safe City" video surveillance system, with feeds connected to the duty units of the Department's police stations and the main police headquarters, where the operational situation is also monitored.
Every Friday from 22:00 to 1:00 the next day, raid activities are organized involving juvenile affairs officers to conduct preventive measures to prevent offenses by minors.
Nail Magdeev noted that the plan for summer employment of three thousand teenagers will be exceeded: nearly 1,800 people are already working, and more than 1,300 will start working in August. The Mayor noted that over 30 million rubles are allocated annually for children's employment and recreation, and funding continues to grow. In addition, he instructed to hold a meeting of the commission on juvenile affairs to re-evaluate measures for preventing offenses during the summer period and to find additional resources in this work:
«A separate issue is ensuring public order. The weather is favorable, and many mass events are taking place in public spaces with the participation of citizens, children, and teenagers. Heads of districts, this applies to you as well. In the second half of July and in August, "Courtyard Festivals" traditionally take place, and the Department of Culture organizes numerous events: Igor Lerman's Chamber Orchestra performs, as well as theater groups and dance ensembles, and open-air screenings of movies and cartoons are held. All this, of course, must be under special control. The Public Order Protection Department and district police commissioners need to strengthen control over the behavior of citizens in parks and squares».
