Naberezhnye Chelny was filled with a special energy of movement, memory, and unity. The 52nd traditional city track and field relay race took place on the F. Tabeev embankment, dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the grand opening of the summer sports season.
More than two thousand participants started the race: schoolchildren, students, and representatives of enterprises and organizations. Each stage of the relay became a symbol of strength of spirit, continuity of generations, and respect for the great feat.
Winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, medals, and certificates, and a special moment of the ceremony was the presentation of gold GTO badges. The awards were received by winners of republican competitions, active participants in city races, and family teams. The honor of presenting them went to Olympic champion Gulnara Galkina-Samitova.
Among students of grades 5–7, the winner of the first stage was a student of multidisciplinary school No. 39 Semyon Egorov, school No. 60 took first place, school No. 10 took second, and school No. 50 took third.
Among students of grades 8–11, at the first stage, the best was a representative of school No. 14 Samir Bakirov, first place went to secondary school No. 41, second place to school No. 10, and school No. 32 was in third place.
Among vocational education institutions, the winner of the first stage was a student of the Industrial Pedagogical College Andrey Oshev, the Industrial Pedagogical College took first place, the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of KFU was in second place, and the Kama State Automobile and Mechanical Technical School named after L.B. Vasiliev took third place.
Among higher education institutions, a student of the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University Andrey Fedoruk distinguished himself at the first stage, the Naberezhnye Chelny branch of KFU took first place, and the Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University took second.
Among the city's organizations and enterprises, the winner of the first stage was an employee of PJSC «КАМАЗ» Yuri Lazarev, PJSC «КАМАЗ» won first place, «Kamskie Elektroseti» took second, and Naberezhnye Chelny CHPP took third.
This day proved once again: sports unite, inspire, and preserve memory. Naberezhnye Chelny is a city of strong, active, and caring people!
