In the Komsomolsky district, Great Patriotic War veteran and resident of besieged Stalingrad Valentina Mikhailovna Remizova received touching congratulations.
State Duma deputy Alfiya Kogogina and head of the Komsomolsky district administration Lenar Akhmetzyanov visited Valentina Mikhailovna. They presented the veteran with bouquets of flowers, gifts, and read out greetings on behalf of the country's President Vladimir Putin, the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the city. They were joined in their words of gratitude by TOS chairperson Vera Zakharova and students from the "Ognivo" children's creativity center.
The warm meeting included songs: Valentina Mikhailovna joined the younger generation in performing front-line melodies familiar to every heart. Over a cup of tea, the veteran shared memories that are carefully passed down from generation to generation in her family. Particularly poignant was the story of how her older brother barely survived at the hands of the Nazis.
"A respectful attitude towards history, our veterans, and the unbreakable bond between generations are the main values emphasized in modern Russia. These important principles and guidelines are supported both at the level of the country's President Vladimir Putin and at the level of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov," noted State Duma deputy Alfiya Kogogina.
Valentina Mikhailovna was born in the Hero City of Stalingrad. Her childhood was scorched by the war. In 1943, when the legendary city lay in ruins, the family was evacuated to the Volgograd region.
Valentina Mikhailovna moved to Naberezhnye Chelny with her spouse 54 years ago. Until her well-deserved retirement, she worked as a computer operator at "Kamgesenergostroy". Together with her husband Anatoly Mikhailovich, they raised two children, and today they are blessed with 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Valentina Mikhailovna has been awarded the "Resident of Besieged Stalingrad" badge and jubilee medals. She is now surrounded by the care and love of her relatives, living with the family of her son Andrey Anatolyevich and Tatyana Alexandrovna.
