On July 14, the Bank of Russia is putting into circulation a commemorative silver coin with a face value of 3 rubles, dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the first truck rolling off the assembly line of the automotive giant КАМАЗ. The new item will be released in the "Cities" series. The coin is made of 925-grade silver. Its mintage will be only 3,000 copies. This was reported by the press service of the Bank of Russia.
The reverse features relief images of the coat of arms of Naberezhnye Chelny, the city hall and business center buildings, as well as a КАМАЗ truck against the backdrop of the cityscape, executed in laser matting technique. Along the rim, there are inscriptions "НАБЕРЕЖНЫЕ ЧЕЛНЫ" and "400 ЛЕТ". The obverse traditionally features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation, the face value, the year of issue "2026", as well as the technical parameters of the metal and the trademark of the Saint Petersburg Mint.
"The city of Naberezhnye Chelny is the heart of Tatarstan's industry. The history of the automotive giant КАМАЗ, from whose assembly line the first truck rolled off exactly 50 years ago, is inextricably linked to its name. The plant determined not only the city's economy – it became the birthplace of many labor dynasties," emphasized the Central Bank's press service.
