In the Avtograd, they have already begun to decorate the city avenues for the New Year, and a large city Christmas tree is being installed on Azatlyk Square.
As the city's chief architect, Malika Shamsieva, announced today during a press conference, this year the traditions of last year will be supported, and new elements will appear.
During the pre-New Year period, the apple trees on Mira Avenue are decorated with garlands in a unified color scheme.
Along Mira Avenue, on both sides, 750 light consoles have been mounted. Light snowflakes, New Year's balls, and clocks showing "five minutes to twelve" have become a complement to the decoration of the apple trees. Consoles in the form of the emblem of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny have been installed at the intersection.
Street decorations in the form of crystal, shimmering tulip buds will be installed on M. Dzhalil Avenue near the Motherland sculpture and at the intersection of Kh. Tufan Street and Syuyumbike Avenue.
It is planned to decorate the arch on Tsentralnaya Street with frosty patterns.
"In 2022, a traffic roundabout appeared in the city at the intersection of Druzhby Narodov Avenue and Syuyumbike Avenue. I could not leave this urban planning junction without attention; it will be decorated with a festive light 'diadem'," noted Malika Shamsieva.
Attention this year is also paid to the city's central bridges – the transport and pedestrian bridges on Kh. Tufan Avenue and Vakhitov Avenue will be decorated with New Year's light consoles.
A festive Christmas tree is already being assembled on Azatlyk Square. This year, it will be supplemented with garlands for a "light dome" effect. And near the tree, a real fairy-tale masquerade ball will unfold. Residents and guests of the city will be greeted by ladies and gentlemen in lavish outfits, musical instruments, fluttering ballerinas, a magic lake with the Frog Princess, Su-Anasy, a teddy bear with gifts, and light ceilings made of garlands. 2023 is the Year of the Rabbit according to the Eastern calendar. The figure of a rabbit will be installed at the intersection of two light tunnels.
This year, citizens will be presented with a "big gift" in the literal sense – a light pavilion in the form of a large present with a light ceiling will decorate Azatlyk Square. It will be a spatial structure that you can enter and take beautiful family photos for your album.
The skating rink will also be colorfully decorated. It will appeal to all photo enthusiasts – the design is planned in a retro style, with zodiac signs and children's attractions. The opening of the Christmas tree is scheduled for December 17.
