Youth Day will take place this week on Friday, July 3. Traditionally, the event will span from Chulman Avenue along Khasan Tufan Avenue to the Maydan of the Pribrezhny Park. This was announced by the Head of the Youth Affairs Department Leysan Vidineeva at the weekly operational meeting.
“Youth Day is a kind of summary of the activities of the youth movement and creativity. The key theme of the festival is ‘Youth in the Jubilee Year,’ dedicated to the simultaneous celebration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the first КАМАЗ truck production,” emphasized Leysan Vidineeva.
Starting at 16:00, more than 20 interactive “Youth Quarter” venues will begin their work. Guests can look forward to the entertainment area of the musical project “Kvartirnik ‘All Our Own’”; “Youth Market” – a platform for promoting young designers of Tatarstan; and the “YaR-Art” contemporary art laboratory venue.
Throughout the venues, the “Fire-Horse” artifact will be presented – a unified symbol of Youth Day and the youth manifesto in the Russian Federation in 2026.
An important component of Youth Day in Naberezhnye Chelny will traditionally be the educational and career block. As part of the large-scale “Work in Chelny” campaign, the city’s leading enterprises and organizations will present interactive career guidance venues. Guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with production processes using VR tours, as well as practically master elements of working specialties: take part in master classes on assembling household appliances, and try their hand at simulators as a welder or painter.
Special attention in this year’s program is paid to the historical heritage of Naberezhnye Chelny – a city whose development is inextricably linked to the All-Union Komsomol shock construction project and the construction of КАМАЗ. In honor of this historical contribution, the All-Russian Rally of Student Brigades will be held in the city from July 2 to 4.
The large-scale event will bring together about a thousand participants from dozens of regions of Russia. The rally will become a unique platform for a dialogue between generations: it will be attended by both delegations of veterans of legendary construction brigades from all over the former USSR and activists of the modern “Russian Student Brigades” (RSO) movement. For the youth, the Rally will be a visual history and career guidance lesson, and for the veterans of the movement – a confirmation that the traditions of creative labor they laid down continue to live and develop.
To help modern students find work, a thematic quest “In the Style of Brigades” will be organized directly at Youth Day. The interactive venue, prepared by representatives of the RSO (the country’s largest youth organization), will help young people get acquainted with available work directions and find options for official employment for the vacation period or in their free time from studies.
