In the capital of Tatarstan, as part of the state program "Sport of Russia" of the national project "Youth and Children", republican athletics competitions for disabled people and people with health limitations have concluded. The Naberezhnye Chelny city team, consisting of 20 athletes, defended the honor of the city. Our athletes demonstrated a high level of preparation and showed impressive results.
In the Republic of Tatarstan championship, the Chelny team won 11 medals: five gold, three silver, and three bronze. Kirill Ganiev became a three-time winner, climbing to the top step of the podium three times. Elina Mustakimova brought the team one gold award. Ilyas Nazipov became a bronze medalist twice. Ulyana Agapova showed brilliant versatility, winning gold, silver, and bronze medals. Deniz Gul won two silver awards.
Our athletes performed no less successfully in the Tatarstan championship, where they secured 18 medals: 8 gold, 7 silver, and 3 bronze. Regina Mikhedyukova climbed to the top step of the podium twice. Almaz Makhmutov and Dmitry Bozdunov also distinguished themselves with a double of gold medals and added one silver medal each. Yura Vishnevsky and Elena Islamova added two gold and two silver medals to the team's tally. Angelina Islamova became the owner of three silver awards. Lyubov Timasheva won bronze, and Andrey Kibardin climbed to the third step of the podium twice.
