One of the effective measures of state support for families is the Maternity Capital Program. Since 2007, more than 55,000 maternity capital certificates have been issued in Naberezhnye Chelny, and 49,000 families have already used the maternity capital funds totaling 19.5 billion rubles. The most popular use of the program remains the improvement of housing conditions. More than 95% of parents who applied to the Pension Fund of Russia used the maternity capital funds for these purposes.
On November 30, following a good tradition, certificates for maternity (family) capital were presented at the Palace of Celebrations. 18 families from Naberezhnye Chelny became certificate holders.
The families were congratulated and presented with certificates by the Head of the Civil Registry Office (ZAGS) Ravilya Zaripova and the Head of the Pension Fund of Naberezhnye Chelny Ruslan Shangaraev.
The 2020 amendments to the law that changed the maternity capital program increase the amount of state support for families, establish new opportunities for using maternity capital, make the allocation of funds simpler and more convenient, and extend the program until the end of 2026.
One of the main innovations is the extension of the maternity capital program to the first child. All families in which the first child was born or adopted starting from January 1, 2020, have become eligible for maternity capital. Today, its amount, taking into account indexation, is 524,527.9 rubles.
