A festive event dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the opening of the H2O sports and recreation complex was held at NGPU. The meeting with teachers and students of Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University was attended by Alfiya Kogogina, Deputy of the State Duma, and the Deputy head of the Naberezhnye Chelny municipal formationIrina Sagidullina.
It should be noted that the construction of the facility took place within the framework of the federal project "500 Pools of Russia", which was launched in 2010 on the initiative of the United Russia party. There are two swimming pools, three training halls, a conference room, a wrestling room, a cardio room, group program rooms, a sauna, and a children's room on three floors of the sports complex in Naberezhnye Chelny. About 170 million rubles were allocated for the construction, of which 90 million rubles were federal funds.
The rector of the university, Alfinur Galiakberova, noted the importance and significance of the sports and recreation complex for students: "Not every university has such a modern complex!".
The sports and recreation complex for children offers classes in 19 areas: swimming, yoga, taekwondo, mental arithmetic, English, creative activities, jumping, and so on.
"5 years ago, thanks to the 500 Pools party project, a unique sports and recreation complex appeared at our beloved pedagogical university, which became a center of attraction for athletes and specialists in the field of physical education and sports. And over the years, it has been visited by almost 2.5 million adults and more than 1.6 million children. 36 students have received the high title of masters of sports, competitions are being held, sports classes are conducted in more than twenty areas," she notedAlfiya Kogogina.
Also during the visitAlfiya Kogogina solemnly presented the certificates of the masters of sports in taekwondo to the students of NGPU.
