The Volga Federal District Men's Team Chess Championship was held in Naberezhnye Chelny at the "Etud" sports school from January 18 to 21. The Naberezhnye Chelny team "Shakhmatist" won the tournament.
With a score of 14 match points out of 14 possible, the "Shakhmatist" team won, consisting of: Yaroslav Remizov, Artur Gayfullin, Robert Strukov, and Ruslan Gabitov.
