On May 1, 38 seasonal bus routes will begin operating in Naberezhnye Chelny, transporting citizens to 83 horticultural societies. Transportation will continue until September 30. This was reported by the Head of the Department of Urban Economy and Life Support of the Population, Ruslan Vildanov. This year, transportation services will be provided by the auction winners – Alteks and Avantech.
"Annually, since 2005, the city budget has provided funding for transport services. This year, 25 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes," noted Ruslan Vildanov.
Nail Magdeev noted that transportation to gardens is a very important social task: "Every year we carry out such transportation, organize it, and allocate significant financial resources, understanding that dachas and gardens are very necessary and important for the residents of our half-million city. Half a million people have taken advantage of the benefit that the city provides, covering the costs itself."
For the convenience of residents, six bus departure points have been organized: Bus Station – railway station area; "Studencheskaya" – Musa Dzhalil Avenue; "Krasnye Chelny" – Sarmanovsky Trakt; "Center" – Syuyumbike Avenue; "Megastroy" – Mashinostroitelnaya street; "51 complex" – Shamil Usmanov street.
"Since 2019, privileged categories of citizens can pay for travel with electronic social transport passes. This option is available on all 38 routes," reminded Ruslan Vildanov. For other passengers, the cost of the trip consists of a fixed amount within the city limits – 46 rubles – and a rate per kilometer outside them: 2 rubles 70 kopecks per passenger and 40 kopecks per piece of luggage. All buses are equipped with terminals for card and cash payments.
In anticipation of the start of the season, municipal services repaired benches, trash cans, and signs at bus stops, and improved the surrounding areas. Control over compliance with the schedule and the quality of passenger service will be carried out by employees of the Executive Committee.
Nail Magdeev reminded the head of the Department of Urban Economy and Life Support of the Population about personal responsibility for the quality of passenger transport organization:
"On the part of the municipality, all financial obligations are being met, so your task, together with the carriers, is to organize the work at a high organizational level. So that there are no complaints or grievances about the work of individual carriers. This applies to bus drivers and passenger comfort. The culture of passenger service must be at a high level: these are people, mostly of the older generation, who have done a lot for the construction of the city and the automobile plant. Maximum attention should be shown to them."
