Valentin Ivanovich Lysak, a participant of the Great Patriotic War, a veteran of naval aviation and a builder of KAMAZ, is celebrating his 99th birthday. The head of the Avtozavodsky district Airat Khusnullin congratulated the birthday celebrant with warm words and gifts from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the mayor Nail Magdeev.
The combat and labor path of Valentin Ivanovich evokes sincere admiration. In May 1943, he volunteered for the front straight from the school bench, graduated from the school of naval pilots and was sent to Sevastopol, where he served as a gunner-mechanic – servicing aircraft and defending the sky over the sea.
After demobilization in 1950, he did not give up his habit of persistent work: he worked as an electromechanic, and then as an assistant locomotive driver. In 1971, Valentin Ivanovich came to Naberezhnye Chelny to contribute to the construction of the legendary KAMAZ plant.
Valentin Ivanovich is an example of incredible fortitude, courage and devotion to his country. A deep bow to him for his feat and many years of labor!
