In Naberezhnye Chelny, the "Zaman" youth center has been ceremoniously opened following a large-scale capital renovation under the "Region for the Young" program of the "Youth and Children" national project. The center has transformed from a Soviet-era building into a modern multifunctional hub, uniting under one roof a space for working youth with a cyber hall, a "Dvizhenie Pervykh" career guidance laboratory, creative studios, a KAMAZ history museum, and an outdoor amphitheater.
The large-scale reconstruction of the three-story building on Tsvetochny Boulevard became possible thanks to Tatarstan's victory in the federal "Region for the Young" competition. The total cost of the work, including design, equipment, furniture, and landscaping, exceeded 190 million rubles.
A key feature of the renovated "Zaman" is its focus on the city's working youth. For teams from major enterprises, including KAMAZ and Tatneft, a cybersports hall for phygital competitions, a conference hall, and a coworking space have been equipped here. A psychological relief room for the "Zoloto" young specialists club has also been added.
The creative direction is represented by vocal and instrumental studios, choreographic halls, an art workshop, and a photo studio. Sports enthusiasts have received new gyms at their disposal, while historical sambo and judo clubs have retained their rooms. A "Career Guidance Laboratory" with interactive quizzes and educational equipment has been launched for schoolchildren and students. A special pride of the center is the "Bytovka" museum, dedicated to the history of the auto giant's formation.
The area around the center has also been completely transformed: a universal sports ground, zones for table tennis and chess, and an outdoor amphitheater for concerts have appeared here. The building's facade is decorated with a large-scale mural "The First Builder of the City and KAMAZ", and the interior space is filled with motivational quotes in Russian and Tatar, as well as branding from Rosmolodezh and the "Znanie" society.
The renovated "Zaman", capable of accommodating up to 350 people at a time, has preserved its historical directions while bringing work with youth to an absolutely new technological and creative level.
