Nail Magdeev inspected the progress of the major renovation of the Sara Sadykova Concert Hall, located in the city administration building. This is the first large-scale reconstruction of the institution in nearly 40 years. The total area of the facility is almost 2,000 sq. m. Tatar national ornaments are used in the design of all areas, and the interior is being executed in warm, natural, and calm muted tones. For the convenience of the audience, two spacious cloakrooms are being equipped – for 300 and 500 people.
Currently, finishing works are underway in the lobbies of the first and second floors, as well as in the restrooms. In parallel, engineering networks are being repaired – power supply systems, low-voltage networks, fire extinguishing, ventilation, and air conditioning. In the concert hall itself, stage mechanics are being installed, and theatrical and artistic workshops are being set up.
While inspecting the premises, Nail Magdeev recommended adding more light to all halls and foyers to emphasize the beauty of the national ornaments, visually expand the space, and create a truly festive and solemn atmosphere for the audience and artists.
"As part of the preparations for and celebration of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny and the 50th anniversary of the production of the first KAMAZ truck, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan has allocated financial resources for the repair of a number of socially significant facilities. One of them is our famous Sara Sadykova Concert Hall. All approved sketches and solutions are being brought to life. With the start of the theatrical and concert season, the hall will acquire a modern, beautiful, and very attractive look. The hall will be just as popular with the residents and guests of our city as it was in previous years," the mayor noted.
On the second floor, the familiar bust of Sara Sadykova – an outstanding Tatar singer, People's Artist of the TASSR, whose name has become a symbol of national vocal art and the pride of the Tatar stage – will be moved to a new location, creating a memorial, historical zone in the format of a mini-museum with her portrait and props, in order to preserve the memory of the legendary artist for future generations.
The mayor drew the contractors' attention to strict adherence to the schedule and instructed them to complete the facility by the middle of August of this year. The large-scale reconstruction and modernization of the cultural institution are being carried out within the framework of the "Family" national project.
