The State Duma unanimously adopted in the second and third readings a law on amendments to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation aimed at stabilizing the situation on the fuel market.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Small and Medium Entrepreneurship, coordinator of the federal project «Entrepreneurship» of the United Russia party Alfiya Kogogina commented: «Fuel is very much needed today both at the front, and in the rear, and during field harvesting, and in production, and on construction sites. At first glance, this is a law on tax regulation, but its essence is greater — to give fuel manufacturers the opportunity to concentrate financial resources on solving problems and create fuel reserves for the national economy».
The federal law clarifies the mechanism of excise taxation of motor gasoline produced by blending straight-run gasoline and other components, and also provides for the expansion of the fuel damper mechanism. These measures not only stabilize the domestic market, but also create a solid foundation for preserving and supporting the export potential of domestic companies within the framework of the national project «International Cooperation and Export». The federal law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
