Naberezhnye Chelny State Pedagogical University (NGPU) is one of the few classical universities in the region that trains future teachers, speech therapists, psychologists, preschool education workers, as well as designers and IT specialists. Applicants can submit documents in three ways: online via the "University Admission Online" and "Vocational Education Admission Online" services on the Госуслуги portal, in person at the educational institution, or by mail. This triple option is not an invention of the process itself, but one of the digital options that the state is developing within the framework of the "Youth and Children" national project. On the portal, the applicant selects a specialty and an educational institution that meets their individual parameters, can track the status of their application, and submit documents for enrollment. Opportunities for admission are created with the support of Russia's National Projects.
More than 800 state-funded spots have been allocated at NGPU for this year. In the three weeks since the start of the admission campaign, applicants have shown particularly high interest in "Speech Therapy," "Educational Psychology," and "Surdopedagogy."
In 2026, the university opened two new programs – "Economics and Management" and "Translation and Abstracting," which are also in demand.
Among those who submitted applications is a resident of Naberezhnye Chelny who scored 100 points in the Russian language. She applied for admission to the Faculty of History and Philology for the "Russian Language and Literature" program. It is worth noting that the young woman scored a total of 275 points in the Unified State Exam.
Applications received from applicants from other municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as other regions of Russia, have also been noted. For instance, a student with 90 points in mathematics and informatics submitted an application for admission to the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics, and Arts via the Госуслуги portal.
Interest is also growing in the programs of the college at NGPU, especially in the field of preschool and correctional education.
