Medicine of a new standard: Infrastructure, technologies and accessibility

Naberezhnye Chelny is implementing a comprehensive program to modernize the healthcare system. The city's main tasks are to make medical care as accessible as possible for residents of every "complex", to update the equipment fleet in line with world standards and to create a comfortable environment for both patients and medical staff.

Main development vectors:

  • Modernization of major hospitals. Systematic renewal of the material and technical base of the city's leading clinics, such as City Hospital No. 5 and the Kama Children's Medical Center (KCMC), including major repairs and the purchase of new high-tech diagnostic equipment (MRI, CT).

  • Primary care within walking distance. Construction of new, modern modular polyclinics in the city's new neighborhoods and large-scale major repairs of existing outpatient clinics to reduce the burden on central institutions.

  • Digital medicine and electronic services. Implementation of the Unified State Information System in Healthcare (EGISZ): electronic medical records, online doctor appointments via Gosuslugi, "doctor-patient" telemedicine consultations and electronic prescriptions.

  • Sports and wellness environment. Development of preventive medicine through synergy with urban improvement. Integration of areas for active recreation, workout and health trails in parks and on embankments (for example, in Pribrezhny Park), contributing to the formation of a healthy lifestyle among residents.

City vector: We are developing Naberezhnye Chelny as a city where advanced medical technologies are combined with the accessibility of care, and a healthy urban environment motivates residents to active longevity.
