The performance will take place as part of the tour of the Mari National Drama Theatre named after M. Shketan.
A fairy tale is a magical world where miracles happen. And so they happened in the family of Payberde and Unavi. They prayed, kneaded the dough and put it in the oven overnight. And in the morning they heard a song from there: «Nonchyk patyr, nonchyk patyr, made entirely of dough am I! But my bogatyr strength yearns to break free.» God heard their prayer and sent them a son. And not just a boy, but a bogatyr, and a kind and brave one at that.
Nonchyk patyr did all the chores for his parents and for the neighbours in the village! He set off across the wide world — maybe someone else needs his valiant help?! And his strength, along with that of Kurtnyo patyr and Puncho patyr, whom he met on the way and befriended, was needed in the fight against the three-headed Azhdaha, who had imprisoned beautiful maidens in the underground kingdom. There were also the sister, the bride, and the parents of Nonchyk patyr.
A bright musical performance based on a Mari folk tale, a fine acting ensemble, engaging play, beautiful scenery and costumes — all of this appeals not only to children but also to adult audiences.
