Tile art dates back to the construction techniques of Ancient Egypt and the Assyro-Babylonian civilization. In this class, children will learn about the history and origins of this art form, its varieties, and production methods. They will explore in greater detail zoomorphic themes featuring symbolic half-animal and half-bird figures characteristic of Vladimir-Suzdal tiles. Inspired by these, visitors will create their own tile models with 3D designs made of plasticine.
This engaging and beneficial activity is particularly suitable for young children, as it develops fine motor skills, coordination, and logical thinking, while also helping children learn to distinguish colors and shapes.
