Book exhibition "Much has been written about the heroes"

The main focus of Soviet literature in the post-war period was the comprehension of the people's feat in resisting the fascist occupiers. Front-line writers naturally shared their memories of the tragic events experienced by the country and the Soviet people.

June 6 marks the 115th anniversary of the birth of Viktor Platonovich Nekrasov, a Russian writer, playwright, and journalist.

V. Nekrasov's novella "In the Trenches of Stalingrad" is recognized as one of the first authentic artistic portrayals of the Great Patriotic War. The work is a genuine testimony of the war, created by an author who personally participated in combat operations, was in the trenches, and commanded a company.

At the exhibition dedicated to the author's work, readers and guests of the library will get acquainted with the famous work "In the Trenches of Stalingrad". Short stories and novellas will also be presented.
